Forgiveness

Posted on May 19, 2023January 30, 2025 by Neelam

I’ve learned that forgiveness isn’t just a gift we extend to others; it’s a liberation we grant ourselves. There’s a certain heaviness that accompanies the burden of holding onto grudges, a weight that dims the brightness of even the sunniest days. But as I’ve journeyed through the labyrinth of life, I’ve come to realize that practicing forgiveness is like opening a window in a stuffy room, letting in the fresh breeze of possibility.

It’s not always easy, this act of releasing resentment and embracing understanding, but with each step towards forgiveness, I feel a little lighter, a little freer. It’s a personal pact, a commitment to myself to let go of the negativity that threatens to anchor me to the past.

And in its place blooms a garden of peace, where old wounds heal and new beginnings take root.
